Welcome to Pauls Tree
Farm Home Page! We are located 15 miles West of Beloit, WI on the Beloit Newark Road.
We offer a large variety of
Spruce, Pine & Fir. We have about 70 acres planted to Christmas trees of all sizes. Every Spring we
plant new seedlings to ensure a future supply of Christmas trees. After the trees are
about three years old, we start shearing them to give them a
full conical shape. We work year around with our trees; planting,
shearing, mowing, spraying, etc. to
assure you will be getting the highest quality tree possible.
When you come to our farm to cut your
Christmas tree, you will drive through 160 acres of Christmas trees, hardwood forest and
farm land; on which there is an abundance of wildlife. Watch for whitetail
deer, wild turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, pheasants, quail,
fox & birds of all description.
Bring your whole family out and stay all
day, if you would like to. Enjoy the outdoors and the family tradition of cutting your own
Christmas trees. Dont forget to bring your camera!
Upper Midwest Newfoundland Club
To Be At Paul’s Tree Farm Again This Year

Members and ‘Newfies’ from the Upper Midwest Newfoundland Club,
Janesville, Wisconsin will be coming to Paul’s Tree Farm again this year
with their trained pulling dogs to help customers pull their cut Christmas
trees out of the field to their vehicles.
The ‘Newfies’ will be at Paul’s Tree Farm November 25, 26 & 27, December 3 &
4 and December 10 & 11 from 11:00 to 3:00 each day, weather permitting. Last
year up to ten dogs a day were here over three weekends. This year they are
trying to recruit more ‘Newfy’ owners to help out. The club will be
accepting donations for the Friends Of Noah. Their goal for this year is
$1200.00! That would do a lot of good for a lot of animals in need. The fund
provides assistance for an animal in a crisis situation that otherwise would
not be able to receive care. For more information about the Friends Of Noah,
go to www.friendsofnoah-wi.org
or for more information about the Upper Midwest Newfoundland Club go to
www.uppermidwestnewfclub.org
or contact Mike Truesdill at
grubbymikes@charter.net
The Upper Midwest Newfoundland Club has made a long term commitment to the
Friends of Noah-WI, all breed animal rescue organization. In addition to
pulling dogs from high kill shelters and fostering until adopted, Friends of
Noah-WI supports families that are struggling be able to keep their animals
during difficult economic times through its missions; The Badger Animal
Fund, S.A.F.E. and The C.A.F.É. The C.A.F.E., Companion Animal Food Effort,
was established to assist families who otherwise would not be able to feed
their pets. Through local outreach programs and established food pantries
the C.A.F.E. collects pet food and redistributes it to those in need. The
C.A.F.E. collects cat food (wet & dry), dog food (wet & dry) and cat litter.
The Upper Midwest Newfoundland Club will be collecting pet food during the
tree pull weekends at Paul’s Tree Farm. The collection barrel will be
located near the office. Throughout the year, pet food can be dropped off at
the Dawg Zone 4030 Commercial Dr. Janesville, WI 53545. Support from the
public is not only appreciated, but necessary to continue to make our
community a better place for humans as well as the animals!

The Club and "Newfies" were also at Paul’s for
two weekends in December of 2009.
You may click
here to see the "Newfies" at work in 2009.

Horse-Drawn Wagon or Sleigh Rides

Our neighbors, Jim & Tammy, to the east of us
will be giving horse-drawn wagon or sleigh rides again this year. They will
be giving the rides on the weekends only & are charging $5.00 per person,
with a $25.00 minimum. The rides take approximately 30 to 45 minutes,
depending on how cold it is.

Plan ahead to include this fun activity when
you are here at Paul’s Tree Farm to cut your Christmas tree. For more
details about the horse-drawn rides, call Jim & Tammy at 608-897-2546.

GO GREEN—Fresh, Fragrant & Real!

Choose & Cut a REAL Christmas Tree at Paul’s Tree Farm!
We are

not. If you want to make the eco-friendly choice and need the facts, go to

REAL CHRISTMAS TREES: THE
ENVIRONMENTAL CHOICE
 |
By
choosing a real Christmas tree over a fake tree for your holiday
celebration, you are making an environmentally sound choice.
Real
Christmas trees remove excessive carbon dioxide and other gases from
the atmosphere, delaying the earth-warming “greenhouse effect” and
producing fresh oxygen.
Christmas
tree plantations create scenic green belts, stabilize soil, protect
water supplies and provide refuge for wildlife.
And while fake trees
cannon be recycled, real trees are easily reused. Here are some
post-holiday ideas: |

NOTHING SAYS CHRISTMAS MORE
THAN A REAL TREE!
Caring For Your Real
Christmas Tree
A Christmas tree is like a bouquet of fresh
flowers. It needs water. Follow these simple steps to keep your Real tree
fresh, fragrant and safe throughout the Christmas season:
1) Trees are
thirsty! To allow your tree to “drink” in the water it needs, make a fresh
cut across the trunk about a quarter-inch from the end just before setting
your tree up in the tree stand.
2) Put
your tree in a water-bearing stand and make sure to keep water in the
stand. A real tree may use between two pints and a gallon of water a day!
3) If
you buy your tree several days before it will be set up and decorated, store
the tree in a cool, sheltered place like a garage, porch or patio.
4) Locate
your tree away from heat sources: fireplaces, radiators, space heaters, TV
sets.
5) Check
over all electrical lights, cords and connections before you decorate the
tree. Don’t overload electrical circuits. Do not use lights with worn or
frayed cords. NEVER use lighted candles or combustible decorations of any
kind!
After decorating your tree,
breathe in the fresh fragrance and enjoy your real Christmas tree!
GO GREEN & HAVE A REAL TREE MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Nothing Says Christmas
More Than A Real Tree!
 |
The
Christmas
tree reminds
us of the Christ;
its top pointing to
heaven, its lights denoting
the Light of the World, and all
the presents beneath it reminding us
that every good gift comes from above.
Thanks
be to
God. |
